Subject: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 28-May-10 Is he going to hang up his basketball sneakers and move to North Carolina to be with Kerrith?
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 28-May-10 I think Cory's going to try and hook up with an NBA team for the Orlando or Vegas Summer League and see if he gets invited to training camp. I think he was liked in Japan and he was making really good coin.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 28-May-10 I think Cory's going to try and hook up with an NBA team for the Orlando or Vegas Summer League and see if he gets invited to training camp. I think he was liked in Japan and he was making really good coin.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 29-May-10 Good luck to Cory.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 30-May-10 Utah Jazz need his ass.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 31-May-10 Cory's never going to make it in the NBA. He's not tall enough to be a power forward and doesn't have the necessary quickness shooting skills to be a small forward. Unless he can learn to shoot and get some quicks overnight is off to the land of the rising sun again or law school.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 31-May-10 I disagree. The NBA has changed in the last five years and a lot of teams are wanting to play small ball and Cory's skills while outside the box then are in demand now. Teams are looking for a 4 or 5 that has Cory's size and skills. He does need to block out.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 31-May-10 Cory's a good guy was a great high school player and a good college player but not an NBA talent. Look at the success that crying school girl Adam Morrison has had in the league and he was head and shoulders better than Cory at the college level.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 31-May-10 Kyle Dranginis will eventiually make the NBA.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 31-May-10 Nampa Bass Anglers?
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 01-Jun-10 Cory's about the size of Linas Kleiza who played last year for Denver and this year is playing for $6,000,000 in Greece. He could make himself into a Linas Kleiza type player.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: !! Email: Date: 01-Jun-10 This thread is basically just a list of made-up names.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 01-Jun-10 Cory is bigger than Paul Millsap and he's done pretty well.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 01-Jun-10 True. But Millsap is much, much better. That should be obvious. Cory is never going to make the NBA. He's not good enough. Gonzaga has had a lot of players better than Cory in the last 10 years, and only a couple have made the NBA and none of them have made much of an impact.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 02-Jun-10 Ronny Turiaf and Lebron are said in the same vein.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 03-Jun-10 Cory's got a triple of summer league ops.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 04-Jun-10 I've seen some of the "bigs" that will be NBA lottery picks. Cory could eat their respective lunches playing one on one or HORSE. The NBA is political and Cory is a D in a R state.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: BlackoutKing Email: Date: 04-Jun-10 ...I agree with !!...This is one dude posting a bunch of bullshit...FU, Lame...
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 05-Jun-10 ^ queer ^
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 05-Jun-10 Guys like Cory, Kaniel Dickens, Josh Davis, Kevin Kruger all have to be about twice as good as guys they play with in NBA situations because most of the players there have guaranteed contracts. The scouts or player personnel people don't like to be made to look like asses so unless one of these guys gets hurt, the DLeaguers get sent packing. The most blantant example of this occurred a few years ago when Rusty Larue lead the Jazz in scoring and assists in preseason at got cut when John Stockton. Eventually the hack that was the 2 point guard got hurt and Rusty got to finish the year in SLC on the roster.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 06-Jun-10 I will bet $50 that Cory never sees a regular season NBA minute on the floor.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 07-Jun-10 Cory's as good as Anthony Tolliver who got a call up from the Stamps.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 08-Jun-10 Tolliver is taller.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 08-Jun-10 Only by one freaking inch.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 08-Jun-10 And considerably better.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 14-Jun-10 There are a couple of players who are supposed to be lottery picks in this year's draft and they are about the same height weight and have inferior stats to what Cory had at Gonzaga. Too bad Cory. Wrong place wrong time.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 15-Jun-10 Year Cory I would like fries with that burger and a large Dr. Pepper to go please.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 15-Jun-10 "There are a couple of players who are supposed to be lottery picks in this year's draft and they are about the same height weight and have inferior stats to what Cory had at Gonzaga." Name one.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 15-Jun-10 Cole Aldrich from Kansas
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 16-Jun-10 Cole Aldrich: 6'11" Cory Violette: 6'8" Cole Aldrich: 10.8 rebounds per game in college Cory Violette: 8.0 rebounds per game in college FAIL
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 16-Jun-10 Cory's senior year 14.2 ppg 8.2 rebounds. Aldrich this year 11.3 ppg 9.8 rebounds. Aldrich is worth millions more than Cory. Right.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 16-Jun-10 Derrick Favors 2nd or 3rd player taken in the draft: 12 pts 6 boards.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 16-Jun-10 Gee, ya think maybe there is a difference in the level of competition between the Big-12, the ACC, and the WCC? You are really a fucking idiot. Besides, Favors is a small forward and was a freshman. Aldrich was a junior this year. Cory isn't even the best Gonzaga big man to miss out on the NBA in the last ten years. JP Batista and Casey Calvary were both better than Cory.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 16-Jun-10 After Cory's senior year he lit up the Utah Jazz summer league as a member of the Atlanta Hawks. A very stressed out Mike Woodson (who got fired this year) would give him a DNP/CD after killing a team because he was embarrasing the Hawks first round draft pick who is now on the Celtics and about to be out of the league.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 16-Jun-10 Summer league? Are you serious? You think there is this widespread conspiracy to keep Violette out of the league? Wait. No. I get it. You're just a troll, and I, as a knowledgeable basketball fan, have been taking the bait. My bad. Thread complete.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 17-Jun-10 It's the same conspiracy that kept Josh Davis out of the league. It's called guaranteed contracts.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: ,,,, Email: Date: 17-Jun-10 My great great grandfather didn't play basketball but he was the tallest man in town. He was a towering 5'11" (Five ft. Eleven in.) It was a small town, and I guess full of small people. (and)People WERE shorter 130 years ago.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 17-Jun-10 "It's the same conspiracy that kept Josh Davis out of the league. It's called guaranteed contracts. " Horsefeathers. Its called "guys like Violette and Josh Davis aren't good enough for the NBA."
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 18-Jun-10 A couple of years ago Josh played on the New Jersey Nets entry in Orlando Pro Summer League. Josh was 2nd in ppg and rebounds in the entire frickin' league and he's not good enough? Wow.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 18-Jun-10 Josh wasn't big enough to play in the show. Same with Cory.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 18-Jun-10 "New Jersey Nets entry in Orlando Pro Summer League" You know those summer leagues don't include NBA players, right? It is full of rookies and undrafted players, very few of whom ever play a minute in the NBA. Having great stats in the summer leagues gets you nothing.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 18-Jun-10 Josh had a decent run with the 76ers and Hawks a few years ago. Seems like he dropped 20 on a team with the Sixers. I remember Luke Jackson got a call from Toronto a couple of years ago and dropped 31 in a game.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 19-Jun-10 Nothing in this post about Kerrith?
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 19-Jun-10 Luke Jackson was a lottery pick coming out of college (Oregon). Richie Frahm, from Gonzaga, played the NBADL/NBA shuffle and ended up putting up a 33 point game as a Sonic. He was soon back in Europe, though.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 21-Jun-10 Cory played as good as that fucker Paul Millsap for at least one half in a summer league game and Millsap has a fucking 29 million dollar contract. The Boise Homie got screwed.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 21-Jun-10 With NBA teams dumping contracts because of the meltdown, Cory has a real shot of sticking with an NBA has me not.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 21-Jun-10 The Jazz have won how many championships since keeping Sap and dumping Cory? The Jazz might want to retrace their steps.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 22-Jun-10 Cory's just too small to play the 4 and not quick enough or a good enough outside shot to play the 3 at the NBA level. Good college player, good DLeague player, good Japanese league player but an epic fail in the show.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 22-Jun-10 "for at least one half in a summer league game" Troll.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 22-Jun-10 If he's so good why haven't Old Man Karl, the Golden State Warriors, the Kings or the Clippers signed him.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 22-Jun-10 Denver does not have a draft pick this year. So if there was a team he might be able to make that would be the one.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 23-Jun-10 I'll bet the tard that started this tread $50 that Cory ain't on an NBA roster when opening night occurs this fall.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 23-Jun-10 I'll make the tard the same offer, but I'll give him 5-1 odds.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: George Karl Email: Date: 23-Jun-10 I'll take that bet.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Phil Jackson Email: Date: 24-Jun-10 I want to sign Cory and bring him to camp. I think he is much better than Andrew Bynum, Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 24-Jun-10 Yesterday the Heat made a strange move. They traded a player who is a young 2 guard and a career 8 points per game scorer and their No. 1 draft pick for a team's No. 2 pick. The reason? Try and dump salary to enter the Lebron sweepstakes and the No. 2 pick money is not quaranteed where the 2 guard and the No. 1 draft pick does have guaranteed money.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 26-Jun-10 Summer leagues start week after next. We;ll see if Kerith's sweetie shows up in Vegas or Orlando.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 26-Jun-10 He is in Japan next year.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 27-Jun-10 What if an NBA team comes calling waiving a sweet contract?
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 27-Jun-10 What kind of dough does Cory make in Japan?
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 27-Jun-10 $20/week room, board and 1 geisha.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 29-Jun-10 The Japan gig might be right. I don't see Cory's name on any summer league rosters yet.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 29-Jun-10 Lots of ex-Zags on summer league rosters, but no Cory. I heard on the GUBoards last year that Cory was bringing in around $100,000 per year in Japan. Not bad.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 29-Jun-10 14
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 29-Jun-10 Beats law school
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 29-Jun-10 I wanna play basketball in Japan. I think it's more than that.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 30-Jun-10 The Jazz released their summer league roster today and it includes a former Stampede member Jamereo Davidson. There's a guy that averaged 7 points in the DLeague last year. Cory would be a star with these hacks.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 30-Jun-10 What happened to the dude that played with the Stamps last year and signed with Golden State?
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 30-Jun-10 Every body ought to be way pissed off abut Al Queada terroirst that played for St. Mary's named Omar what the fuck that averaged about 20 points 11 boards in WCC play and scored 30 and 11 in NCAA games they won. Dude's 6"11" 260 and ought to be earning NBA millions.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 30-Jun-10 He's slow and unathletic, though. A similar player to Cory, really, though Samhan has better offensive skills and is bigger, while Cory is a bit stronger and is in better shape.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 01-Jul-10 I saw Cory at the gym recently and he was bench pressing a house.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 01-Jul-10 I saw Omar Samhan at Golden Corral recently and he was eating a house.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 01-Jul-10 What I don't understand is that Cory had the same or better stats with the Pede than a couple of colored fellows who got call ups to the show. What gives here. No one likes him because he's from Boyzee?
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 02-Jul-10 DL stats don't mean much. NBA is looking for potential
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 02-Jul-10 He's got potential as an aspiring barrister.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 03-Jul-10 There's a guy that bears watching that is playing for Celtic's summer league team that's 6'11" from Belarus and played for Radford. He went to CSI and to show how incompetent the staff was at BSU, they couldn't be bothered to drive the 120 miles to say hi. The guy lead D-1 in rebounding and against Duke and Kansas this year he averaged 21 and 13. Radford isn't exactly basketball's big time. If Graham had showed him the time of day, he still might be coach here or at a bigger program. Dipshit.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 04-Jul-10 Tomorrow starts the Orlando Summer League bitches.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 05-Jul-10 What's up with Adam Morrison these days?
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 05-Jul-10 Adam and Cory will be in politics next year.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 06-Jul-10 The Belarus dude that the most rebounds yesterday in the Summer League and Jaycee Carroll had 13 points 5 dimes.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 06-Jul-10 "What's up with Adam Morrison these days? " He's a free agent. Was with the Lakers.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 06-Jul-10 He's probably looking to either sign a veteran's minimum contract with an NBA team or more likely head to Europe. He's knee injury killed him as an NBA player.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 06-Jul-10 Denver released their summer league roster and Cory's not on it, so hello gaijan.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 07-Jul-10 The Belarus dude stunk yesterday.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 19-Jul-10 Summer leagues over and no Cory. He's either headed back to Japan, the employment office or law school.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 19-Jul-10 1. Summer league is not over.Bouldin, Downs, Daye and Pargo are still playing (among other non-Zag players) 2. Cory V. is not and will never again be on summer league roster again; summer league is about potential and up-and-comers. He was a very nice Zag, but not NBA material. 3. Cory will be back in Japan next year making good money playing ball. Kudos to him for that.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 19-Jul-10 Let's wish him the best of luck.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 19-Jul-10 Kerrith will be proud.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 19-Jul-10 I am wondering about what is going to happen with Adam Morrison?
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 20-Jul-10 I saw Reggie Larry yesterday and he's headed for a tryout in Vegas for the Korean Pro League.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 22-Jul-10 This just in the Jazz are looking for shot blocking bigs but it might open the door for Lance Allred or Brent Petway.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 25-Jul-10 The Korean league held their draft and Reggie Larry was left out. Interestingly ex BSU player Aaron Haynes (recruited by Jensen played under Graham) was a first round draft pick and was all league last season. You would think the Statesman might cover it but no.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 25-Jul-10 Who pays better the Koreans or Japs?
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 27-Jul-10 It appears to be a wash for top Americans. They both appear to offer about $400,000 K contracts and they don't have to go to an NBA camp with no guarantee. I think the minimum for NBA teams is $476,000.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 27-Jul-10 Omar has signed with an European team. Cory this is your chance!!!
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 29-Jul-10 Former Stampede player Jermareo Davidson, the 36th overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft, has signed in Russia with new Eurocup team Krasnye Krylia. The 6-foot-10 power forward averaged 15.9 points and a league-leading 10.87 rebounds last season in Turkey after spending his first two professional seasons bouncing between the NBA with the Golden State Warriors and Charlotte Bobcats as well as stints in the D-League.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 30-Jul-10 The Jazz find themselves in a quandry right now. They have 9 guaranteed contracts and need to carry 13 bodies on the roster for regular season. They thought they could sign summer league players to non-guaranteed contracts. Most have bolted to Europe to play. This could leave an opening for a guy like Lance Allred or Cory to play this year.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 30-Jul-10 If either Cory or Lance are on the Jazz opening day roster, I will pay everyone on this board one million dollars.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 31-Jul-10 every body here might be a rich man. There's weird shit happening in the NBA.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 01-Aug-10 Omar signed with some team in Eastern Europe.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 02-Aug-10 Bummer about Omar. He had a couple of monster games in the NCAA Tournament. Big boy with a work ethic.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 04-Aug-10 I see the former Chris Jackson is playing in Japan at age 40.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 04-Aug-10 Interesting, that Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf could really light it up when he was younger, particularly in his days at LSU. I don't think his conversion to the Muslim faith helped his NBA career any, though.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 05-Aug-10 Not standing for the national anthem didn't either.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 05-Aug-10 Neither did his Tourette's Syndrome.

Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 06-Aug-10 I like his porn stash and the way he cries like a girl.

Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 10-Aug-10 Former Stamp Jamereo Davidson signed to play in Russia.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 11-Aug-10 Fanhouse is reporting that former Boise State and Stampede player will be waived by the Nuggets by Sunday. I think his salary would have been guaranteed for the year if he was still on the roster Sunday.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 11-Aug-10 If Coby wasn't George Karl's son he would be working at Burger and Brew.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 11-Aug-10 Coby's a good guy. Don't go bagging on him.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 11-Aug-10 Andy McClousley just got hired as an asst. coach at Portland State. He spent as much time down at Ha Penny as Kerrith.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 11-Aug-10 i heard they fucked. true?
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 12-Aug-10 Doubt it. Andy is a fat pig.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 13-Aug-10 Andy got a drinking allowance as part of his new contract.
Subject: RE: Cory Violette From: Email: Date: 19-Aug-10 It's about time for Cory to report to the land of the rising sun.
