vandal fan or not, if you think about it, it's still pretty classless. If he really had such a bad experience on his visit to the Kibbie Dome, Kustra should have taken the higher ground here and simply not commented on it. This just makes him, and the university as a whole, look like a big jackass. I mean, its not like Vandal fans havent endured the same shit in Bronco Stadium.

I went to UofI and Kustra is only telling the truth. I'm often embarrassed by my fellow UI alums and current students. The truth hurts sometimes, no need to bury your head in the sand.

And, Kustra's right. I'll add that when I went to the Washington game I had the same miserable experience with a bunch of pissant Huskie frat boys talking shit to everybody in blue or orange. I love Seattle but the experience made me want it to be a nuke test site.

The difference is the size of towns. Moscow's all UI, 80% of it is students, 75% of them are drunk on their ass and since their team is either going to be or has been smacked down, the only way to keep a hard-on is to scream trash.

But it's not a rivalry. Not any more. It's like what Pat Hill said when asked about the Fresno-BSU rivalry - "It's not a rivalry when one team always wins." Boise got the prison, Lewiston (Moscow) got the university, and now Boise's got the team and it's time to leave UI behind, except for maybe the occasional sympathy fuck like when your ex-girlfriend runs out of meth.
