^ You might be correct. I watched a normal newscast the other day with nothing but reader stories. No real local new footage or stories that we're shot locally. The lead out of the first segment was about Lindsay Lohan headed to rehab. The weather guy looked like he was fresh out of high school. Kid did a good job but sure looked hella young.

All I used to hear about from the people at KIVI was about how committed Journal was to the news department. Now, I don't think Journal is committed to Boise in any way, shape or form. Those stations are going to get sold. Radio and TV sold separately or together. Mark my words, it's gonna happen.

I also think Journal has buyers remorse for purchasing KNIN.

They got sold a bunk product.

WTF is with KNIN's over the air channels. It's been a year since the digital conversion and they still don't have show information or even the correct time in their data stream.

While watching ABC programming in high-def and all of a sudden seeing the picture flicker, shrink, and dim before showing local spots or a newscast is like watching the three-ring circus it's so laughable.

I'd also like to add the Seahawks game was improperly squeezed on KIVI tonight. Good thing I watched the same broadcast, being aired in it's correct aspect ratio, on the NFL Network.

Here's one more reason they suck. They are getting their "local" weather on the weekends from a woman in Tucson. KGUN in Arizona is taping the weathercast and feeding it to Boise. Deception at its finest.

^ KBCI was doing that on the local weekend news in the past. It was from Idaho Falls at one point then from KOMO in Seattle. I'm pretty sure they aren't doing that anymore. I've also seen KTVB tape the weather forecasts on holiday weekends also.

KBCI never got their weather from KOMO. And the period they got it from KIDK was the short time while Kelly Franson was transitioning from KIDK to KBCI and they needed to wait to replace her at KIDK.

That said, KIVI getting their weather from Tuscon is disappointing, but probably inevitable for more of the locals eventually.
