Arbitron will let us all know in January.. I'd be willing to say KBOI, KTIK and KKGL will be HUGE this ratings period due to the lackluster local television coverage of Boise State Football. I'm sure KINF-AM and Sports 630 will not rate better then a 1.0 12+ overall rating. KINF-FM might do an 1.0 on it's own.. but don't bank on it.

Come on, People. We all know why most everyone in the Radio/TV Stations in Boise post and read the posts here. They are all too insecure to have their own opinions so they have to post anonymous messages to gain a formal opinion on what they 'think' is going on around them.

Most of the people on this board are afraid of their own shadows, scared to be the people they really are in a market that is stuck in the middle of a rock and being a REAL market where Arbitron rates the stations monthly instead of Bi-Quarterly.

The POINT on this thread is.. No matter what Cumulus does, KTIK will STILL BEAT The Fan/Sports 630 where it really counts.. In the ratings and the billing department. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if that FM Simulcast on 93.1FM gets flipped eventually to simulcast KBOI..

What's with all this talk about "more changes coming to Cumulus" that Dizzle keeps talking about? We need answers Dizzle. Ask the tough questions and give us answers - who is getting fired? What business strategy is being implemented? What programs are being cut? What format is on the chopping block? Is John Patrick getting a new haircut?

I just know Cumulus likes to experiment with their new markets much like a Clear Channel would. I've heard a lot of rumors about how Cumulus wants to cut more people out of the loop for in-house networked programs. Lots of changes going to happen after the ratings come out in the next couple of weeks. They will all be in a fucked up nature with the interest of revenue Vs. the market size. It's a big shit sandwich and a couple of different longtime radio hosts are going to be looking for something new to do.

To me, it's doesn't make sense but the people in the building are bracing for the impact of what might be happening.

I for one will be throwing at party at the Lux when Caves is fired. He is the best example of why talk radio is not worth listening to. Why cant Dave Tester get on a Fm station if that hacker Caves did?? And maybe thats why he is the next fired one. Why would you ever put a guy that old and so lacking in knowledge on the radio?

Jeff started doing janitor work for Newt and worked his way up. Dave, I don't know. Get a job in the mail room at a local station and work your way up. People don't break down your door to give you a top spot these days.

I have carried an operations department of a 3rd rate TV station from skills I learned on THE NUMBER ONE MORNING DRIVE RADIO SHOW IN Boise at the time. I ran the board and played producer/engineer for a shift on KIDO who MADE NOT BILLED 1.2 Million Dollars the one full year I was in the studio. With the skills I learned from Jon and Chris, we put together IDAHO's NUMBER ONE MORNING SHOW for nearly two years until those Clear Channel fuckers and Brad Chambers FUCKED UP the entire station.

We need to clear up some major misconceptions about 1350/93-1 KTIK the Ticket. Please sit patiently while we go through them.

1. Caves is not going anywhere. He was promoted to head sports sales, which means he is responsible for every sales order that deals with Bronco sports and other sports programming on KTIK and KBOI. He is a vital member of the team and not just some blowhard.

2. 1350 is going to stay as The Ticket. There are currently no plans whatsoever about selling the station or flipping it to an "all news" station as someone on this board indicated. It will remain the voice of the Steelheads, Hawks, and Tee Time - while other audiences can still listen to national programming on the FM side.

3. KTIK is full of several personalities who have or will soon qualify for legendary status. We have Caves who practically built KTIK up from nothing, pulling in 25 years of service. Prater will soon pass 10 years, JP 15 years, and Jim Stumpy Monroe retired last week after serving just short of 18 years.

We hope that in the future, if someone has a question regarding programming or personalities that they would call the station to ask. About 90% of the time the "rumor mill" is wrong. Thank you.
