No one has been allowed inside since 1974.

Meh. Wrong. Aside from all of the military personnel currently holding shop in Fort Knox, the Army Human Resources Command with approximately 4,300 mostly civilian personnel has been consolidated at Fort Knox.

Why bother wasting your time starting a thread you don't know anything about?

^I'm with OP, no US Senator or Congressman has been allowed inside for years. Explain that bitch!

Well, the OP said "No one", so that's the argument here. Who gives a fuck (besides some knuckle-dragging fuckhead like yourself) whether a US senator or a congressman was or wasn't allowed.

There's no point in going inside Fort Knox. It's been empty for years.

" no US Senator or Congressman has been allowed inside for years."

Also bullshit. Up until a year ago Fort Knox was the OSUT site for armor troops (tankers, cav scouts and tracked vehicle maintenance personnel). It also hosted hundreds of dignitaries both foreign and domestic including U.S. congress critters. It's still an active post for armor support.

I did Basic here in '88. The PX was across the street from the building they filmed Stripes. Pretty cool. Not Basic, but the site.

If there's any more gold than it takes to compile a few pair of cufflinks in Fort Knox, I will eat my hat. Seriously. And I really like my hat.

Well, they certainly should have the ability to keep people locked out of the place... The place is built like Fort Knox.
