The more fucked up shit this country does, the more I have to remind myself of the Pledge of Allegiance. I remember when I was a little kid, every morning the principal of my elemtary school would come over the loud speaker and we all said the pledge together. I thought it was soooo dumb. If it weren't for the fact that America is the only country I've got, I might still think it was dumb. But I feel like my pledge was not to an oppressive empire. Maybe I'm fantasizing, but I'd like the land of the free back. This country we've become is crap.
